Westport Lake is Stoke-on-Trent's largest expanse of water and its one of the best places on the canal system to watch birds. While the Canal & River Trust own the lake, it's managed day to day by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Stoke City Council.
On the edge of the lake is a visitor centre and café run by the Wildlife Trust. It's a great place to start your visit and discover more about the area and its fascinating wildlife.
Alongside the lake is our Trent & Mersey Canal, which takes you into Burslem and Stoke on Trent's potteries along the towpath.
