The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has been felt across all aspects of society and those who live on their boat haven’t gone unscathed. This is Scott’s story and how asking the Trust for help made a difference.
Marianne recently had a near-death experience after falling into the canal and suffered severe injuries as a result. For Drowning Prevention Week, she is sharing her story as a reminder to all to remain vigilant on the water, no matter how experienced.
A guest blog from boater Tracey about living onboard a narrowboat and being severely vision-impaired. Tracey has become known as 'the blind boater' since moving afloat with hubby, Tim, in March 2014.
A guest blog from former continuous cruiser Stella about living on-board a narrowboat while living with a chronic health condition.
A guest blog from boater Naomi about living on-board a narrowboat, and how her new way of life has benefited her as a person living with a chronic health condition.
Boats make our waterways special. We want our staff to understand what it’s like for the boaters who cruise, and live on, our canals and rivers. But most of our staff are based at home or in offices and don’t get to see things from a boater’s point of view.
